OK... so not all medics are this warped... just the ones that have to deal with me. We have this product we use to stop Arterial Bleeding. Pour it on an artery and things clot up real nice. A new version recently came out (The old one got super hot), and barely made it to country when it was recalled. Apparently the clots are a little loose and break free, causing strokes and what not. We had a spare package to mess with... this is what we came up with... its a clotted blood snowman (My blood)... you had to be there....

Hey... I know you! So there are 150,000 soldiers over here... I find it amazing how often I run into people I know.... Jon Woolley and I. The Army has been great for him, he's grown up a ton... I guess so have I.

OK... so I planned on posting my New Years resolutions around New Years... but my internet hasn't been doing so well... Dates are rather meaningless around here anyway... I figure I have exactly one year left in the Army.. so I am making today New Years Day. I decided I needed 10 goals... didn't think it would be so hard to decide on 10.

So here there are... hopefully I can stick to em for once...

#1 ... Post to the blog at least once a week. My record isn't so hot on this one, but look, 1st day of the year and I have one knocked out!

#2 ... Make it to 185lbs, without gaining any fat. Currently at 170.

#3 ... (GYM STUFF)
Get my bench press at the gym up to 300lbs. Currently at 175.
Get my 2-mile Run time down to 10 minutes or less. Currently run 2 miles in 14 minutes.

#4 ... Complete 18 semester hours of school. (The max my TA will pay for in a year) I start 2 classes (6 hrs) in Feb. Working on a Bachelors in Business Administration at the American Military Institute. I allready have an Associates in Counter-terrorism Studies. How do these two degrees go together? I have no clue.

#5 ... Read at least 25 books. To include Jesus The Christ and the Bible that I got for Christmas!

#6 ... Put at least $1500 a month in my savings account.

#7 ... Learn Spanish... Relearn I guess. But I didn't have it that well the first time. I am able to use the Rosetta Stone Programs for free through the military.. so we will see how that goes.

#8 ... Become a one car man for the first time in a long time. Can't afford so many toys for a while when I get out of the Army. Any interest in a 2000 Dodge Viper, 2004 Mustang Mach 1, or a 2001 Dodge Ram? I don't really consider the little truck when looking at this goal. That thing is everyones!

#9 ... Buy a house! I have been looking at this one for a little while. May have to sell a few of the toys before I jump into this one. We will see.

#10 ... Get out of the Army! There isn't really a whole lot I can do for this one. 365 days to go.

So there they are. Is there anything I missed? Gonna try and update these once a week... an unofficial goal.

Just wondering if anyone has an old router sitting around? We are looking for one to hook up all of our x-box's. I'm told I don't want a "smart" router. We want to be able to just "plug and play". I was gonna just get on e-bay and find one, but I figured with all the computer stuff going on back there someone might have one laying around.....

Happy Thanksgiving! They did a little dinner here for us.. it was pretty nice except no mashed potatoes! They serve mashed potatoes like every other day.. but not on Thanksgiving... strange. I received a couple packages yesterday... Mom, the organizer is perfect. And the little debbies are perfect also. The orange ones are allready gone! Amy and fam thanks for the lights and candy and stuff. I put the lights up along with moms lights and garland. Looks very festive. Grandma, Thanks for the package! The nuts and trail mix are great. I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving. Have some mashed potatoes for me!

So I would have posted to this sooner, but I couldn't figure out how to get blogger to read in English instead of Arabic. I am sitting in the desert somewhere in the middle East waiting to head up to Iraq. Just thought I would drop my address on here. They say I should have internet access at my aid station up there so I am going to try and post to this more consistently (more than twice a year). Feel free to send snacks if you like! Sounds like i'm going to be hungry for the next year. They say the base we are going to is "austere".... what they really mean is it's in the middle of nowhere and crappy. Oh well.

I finally found a computer that would let me on the blogger! Yay. So i tried the muppet personality.... I had a real hard time posting it.. anyone know how to change my blogspot desktop back to English? Everything is in German right now and my German is just a little rusty... Lets say I have 30k I don't need for a year... but might need after that. Possibly something I could add 40k to over the next year... Any ideas?

Finally got back from my long mission. It wasn't too bad I guess. It was nice to get back here to the base and have electricity and showers and stuff though. Not too much happening around here. Sorry about all the address confusion. I did get the letters from the girls and the package from mom. ANy of those address' will work really, as long as it has the right APO. I have been getting plenty of mail to that address. As for the return address thing... I'm not sure how that got started.. I don't recall ever saying not to put them on there. The internet facilities are not quite what I hoped for here in Kuwait. I don't get to come on this thing too often. But I just wanted to stop by and say hey. Kuwait is wonderful. It's about 125 degrees everyday and there is sand everywhere. What more could you ask for? Stay cool!

.... It's just me. So I found a great new hobby everyone should try. Skydiving. What's better than jumping out of a plane at 12,000 ft and falling towards the beach at 110mph?.... not too much I say. I've been 3 times now. I think i'm going to get my license and make it my new job. I've got a great video of me falling, but can't figure out how to turn the video into pictures?

Fireworks + Livingroom carpet = Trouble

Surprise, surprise. Had another fire incident at the house yesterday. 4th of July weekend started rather early at my house this year. We set off about 50 different fireworks last night. It all came to a screaching halt when someone forgot to close the screen door... a little spinning firework ran about 10ft to the left and jumped right in the back door. Our couch now covers up that portion of the carpet very nicely!

See.... all you have to do is ask if this thing is on... and here I am. I have been pretty busy lately trying to finish getting my soldiers ready to deploy to Death Valley! I'll be on my way to California on Friday. I hear the Mojave is nice this time of year. Glad the Army decided to give me a vacation from the weather here..... 80 and sunny every day....

Still not too sure when I am going to be able to come home in June... or even if I am going to get the time at this point... will just have to wait and see... I would advise all not to make any plans based on me. Thats just the way it goes in the Army.

OK.. So I have been slacking a little on the blog.. but I do visit everyones page often to see what is going on with you guys. I have just been terribly busy recently trying to get my vehicles ready to ship to California. I have had to deal with things like broken drive shaft and missing radiators... which I know nothing about, but am expected to fix promptly anyway. This week I have worked an average of 15 hours a day, and today it will be 30 straight hours of work before I get to go home. Fortunatly I am on guard duty right now and I was able to find someone's wireless internet to "borrow".

It is monsoon season right now for those of you who didn't know... today is officially day 45 since we had a rainless day.................................

Coming tomorrow... Pictures of the beach as requested (if it doesn't rain..haha).. and also tomorrow... I re-send Johns christmas present... what could it be... It's actually not that weird.. i just laugh when asked about it because I can't beleive how many times it's come back to my house....

Decided it was time to take care of the back yard today. The weeds had gotten to about eye level and the neighbors were "commenting". The FireTruck just left about an hour ago. I attempted a controlled burn out there.. I guess it scared one of the neighbors. Only a $25 ticket f0r an un-Authorized fire. Oh Well. Not a single little weed out there...
